Friday 7 October:
10:30 – 12:00 Cross Stitch for Beginners R250.00
An introduction to the delightful art of cross stitch. If you have ever considered cross stitching, but you really have no clue where to begin, this is the workshop for you. You will be supplied with a beautiful, simple cross stitch kit which includes a chart, threads, hand dyed fabric & needle. You will be shown the basic techniques of starting, finishing & back stitch. Once you have completed the workshop, you will have all the skills required to try any design you choose!
12:30 – 14:30 Encaustic Art Tray R380.00
Encaustic Art is a dynamic medium, where beautiful paintings and abstract art are created with wax and a craft heat tool and stylus. This artwork can be incorporated with many other crafts to make beautiful projects, like the tray we are doing in this workshop. All the basic Encaustic art techniques will be taught and we also introduce you to all the equipment you will need to complete the tea tray that you will take home at the end of the lesson. Encaustic Tools, trays and waxes that you need to complete the project are supplied.

Welcome to the exciting world of shelf making! But not the boring shelves you know! We show you how to make exciting shapes like Triangle or Honeycomb shelves! You get to keep some hand tools and learn how to handle proper power tools!! You can make either one large or 3 small shelves.

09:30 – 11:30 Knit your own Snood R300.00
Learn to knit in the round with a pair of circular knitting needles, and a beautiful skein of MANOS Silk Blend yarn (merino & silk). Skills: Casting on, joining in the round, combining knit and purl stitches, finishing. Knitting Level: Competent beginner to intermediate knitters (must know basic cast on, knit and purl.) Includes yarn, 4.5mm circular needles, 80cm circular knitting needle, pattern and tuition.
12:00 – 14:00 Metal Stamping Basics R300.00
Learn the exciting new craft of stamping by hand onto metal, to create memorable keepsakes like loved ones' names, important dates and even personal messages. In this workshop you will make 3 personalised and unique pieces; a keyring, a pewter pendant and aluminium bangle. Everything you need will be provided.

Convert any shape or name you like in this awesome workshop! Using wood, nails and string, we show you how to make a nifty piece of decor that you can be proud to display in your home.

Capture a precious memory in the new mixed media style of scrapbooking. Techniques covered include: layering, fussy cutting, stencils and texture paste and paint splats. Macramé is all the rage now and in this workshop you'll learn a variety of knots & techniques needed to make a plant hanger that's right on trend. You'll be working with Tarn and all the materials are included.
14:30 – 16:30 Art Journaling R250.00
Art Journaling is a great way to express your thoughts and feelings visually and creatively. You don't need to be an Artist! You don't even need to be able to draw a stick figure! We'll start with looking at the creative inspiration process in Art Journaling and explore some of the various media and techniques you can use on your journal pages. We'll explore working with inks, stencils, texture paste, cut-outs, stamps and markers. All necessary tools and materials will be provided to complete the class. Extra inspiration and goodies will be provided to kick start your journaling.
